What Causes Vaginal Laxity and Dryness?

Many of the symptoms Radiofrequency treats stem from the childbirth or aging processes. Multiple vaginal childbirths, or even a single notably strenuous one, can cause tissues to loosen and not tighten back into their pre-baby size and shape.

These are effective, nonsurgical treatments performed in a physician's office, not requiring any preparation, anesthesia, or post-procedure down time. Some results are immediately appreciable and will continue to improve over a few weeks time after a treatment session, but a series of three treatments is recommended to achieve ideal results with Thermiva which last from nine months to longer than a year.

How Does Radiofrequency Work?

This a tried and trusted technology: warming tissue through radiofrequency electrical current. The current generates heat, which can be carefully and gently applied to the soft tissues of the vulva and vagina, causing them to contract. This creates a tighter passageway and strengthens the area. The heat energy also encourages collagen production.

Why is Collagen Important for Vaginal Health?

Collagen is found all throughout the body, from your skin to your bones. The plentiful protein is responsible for giving various anatomical structures their strength and suppleness by serving as both a connective tissue and support system.

In the skin, collagen provides a consistent shape and works with other elements to create an elastic framework that retains moisture and a satisfying thickness.
