Dr. Alain Polynice is a board-certified plastic surgeon, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Polynice completed his training in Plastic Surgery at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Following his plastic surgery training, Dr. Polynice completed a traveling fellowship throughout the United States, Australia, Asia, Europe and South America. Having learned advanced techniques during his travels, Dr. Alain Polynice brings cutting-edge procedures in breast enhancement and body contouring.
Dr. Polynice attended medical school at the Pontifical Catholic University in Santiago, one of only five such universities in the world ratified by the Vatican. He then completed his training in general surgery with an internship in Toulouse, France and residency training at North Shore University Hospital in Long Island New York. He then went on to do a specialized fellowship in burn care at the New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell medical Center in New York City. There he learned cutting edge techniques in managing burn victims and caring for burn scars. Dr. Alain Polynice was featured in Time Magazines Heroes of Medicine issue. Dr. Polynice then went on to the Mayo Clinic to pursue advanced specialized training in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Very active in education and resident training, Dr. Polynice is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and he is Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at New York Medical College.
